Welcome to UK RSN Website!

Please Enjoy Your Stay.

Hi its Dave RSN 778,the 11metre band is opening up again slowly with some good contacts worldwide so its time to get the old faithful radio out again and start dxing , if you want to join this group then email, wolf001@bredband.net or redwolf116@hotmail.com

If your thinking of buying a new cb type radio why not consider a s/h amateur radio, there is plenty about, then you have the added benefit of the extra output power,100w and also a general coverage receiver for when no dx about just to listen to.

They can be picked up for £150-£250 on Ebay but if you have never had one seek the advice of someone who has experience using them, most do not transmit on 11 metres but can be made to quite simply but needs someone who knows what they are doing to  modify it, the radio above is a Yaesu 747,simple to use,100w output great little radio for dxing, if your thinking of getting one ask if fm board is fitted because if not will cost you another £50 if you like using fm modes

The radio below is a Icom 706 a much more sophiscated radio, covers a much wider spectrum and has lots of menu's and sub menu's ,the mk1 can be brought for £200/250 and is also 100w ouput great little radio that is very compact, the radio is still in production, now the MK2g dsp which will receive and transmit to 500megs if broadbanded, all the radio's you will ever use in one box!!!
